Unplayed Match
If a match, other than a semifinal or final, cannot start through inclement weather or any other cause, the match shall be deemed to be an unplayed match.
Matches drawn on any court which is deemed fit for play by the owner or nominated supervisor/caretaker at the centre, (as per registration form), despite impending rain, approaching storm or excessive heat, must be played.
If a player refuses to play when the centre indicates it is acceptable to continue, the player who refuses to play will forfeit all sets thereafter, at the Management Committee’s discretion.
A decision on whether a court is fit for play should be made as early as possible prior to starting time of the match. Players should contact the centre 60 minutes prior to starting time to verify whether or not play has been cancelled.
If play is interrupted by inclement weather, players must stay at the centre until advised by centre management that play has been cancelled. Any team that leaves without this decision being made will forfeit unplayed sets.
Should half or more of the teams competing in any one grade or section play, correct points will be awarded for that grade or section. A team with a bye is not counted as playing.
A match will be deemed unplayed, if, due to inclement weather, less than three sets are completed in a 4 or 5 set competition.
If a match is called off after start of play but within the first hour, each team pays ½ of the normal match fee, after the first hour each team pays full price. For the purpose of this rule the time of completion is when the play stops.
A non-registered player can fill in three times in one season before being required to register after which he must pay registration.
For all matches and including semi-finals and finals a team must comprise at least one of the team's registered players.
Every effort is to be made to avoid forfeits. All centres are to cooperate in helping each other to avoid forfeiting matches. If the match is forfeited, the forfeiting team is to pay the full revenue anticipated from the match to the centre where the match is to be played. The forfeiting center is to ensure that the payments are made.
If a match has been notified as a forfeit but subsequently the centre where the match was to be played is washed out, then the match is to be deemed a wet match.

A 12-point tie-break is played at 5 games all.
